We went out to lunch yesterday. Max loves to sit and bask in the glory of everyone at nearby tables telling him how cute he is!

As of Wednesday, Max officially has his first tooth poking through his bottom gum! He hasn't been extra fussy...I think he's just happy to be able to breathe normally again after being sick for a couple of weeks. I took him shopping with me yesterday and he just smiles away at all of the ladies that talk to him and tell him how cute he is. What a little charmer.
We can finally see grass and pavement again here as it got in the 50's yesterday. It's really great when we finally get a couple of warmer days! The driveway isn't like an ice rink anymore. Also, hopefully no more ice-induced spills. My poor grandmother and grandfather have both taken some nasty falls. My grandma is in a rehab center recovering from surgery after she broke her hip a couple of months ago.
I'll have to take some new photos of Jacob to share. You wouldn't believe how big he is getting! He's so adorable with Max. Lately, Max just wants to touch and grab and hug Jake. You can tell that he thinks he is just the coolest big cousin!

It's been a long week here. Max has been recovering and I've been sick for about a week...we're all beat! It is supposed to be warmer here for the next few days and we are all definitely looking forward to that. February weather is always tough in Ohio. It seems like it has been winter forever and the possibility of more snow in March and even April sometimes makes it seem like there is a long bit left yet.
In good news, Max is acting more himself again. He has been "talking" a lot the last couple of days. He seems anxious to air what is on his mind.
Other than that, not too much else to report...same old. Hope you had a great Valentine's Day/Anniversary! Although it is late, Max sent a little card.

Superbowl Sunday
The icy sidewalk to my building on campus. I've almost fallen on this ice rink about three times!
The boys watching the superbowl. We were happy to see the Steelers lose.

Poor Max is sick. We took him to the doctor yesterday because he has been congested, coughing and running a fever. They said that he has an ear infection and prescribed him some antibiotics. They already seem to be helping his symptoms. Hopefully he can get some good sleep tonight...the last few nights have been rough, getting up every couple of hours. You can really tell when the tylenol or ibuprofen wears off. Poor little guy!

We are dealing with the snow...staying inside and keeping warm! It isn't that we have gotten a TON of snow, but last night we were getting freezing rain on top of the snow that we already had. There was a thick layer of ice on top of the snow so that when you stepped on it, you didn't sink into the snow...just sled across the top of it. The university was closed both yesterday and today. In the meantime, we are trying to keep Max entertained, which is no easy task anymore!
