Saluti da Ventimiglia! And Bonjour from Eze! And Ciao from Monaco!

Today we drove from our hotel in Nice along the southern coast of France to a medieval village called Eze. It was absolutely beautiful sitting atop a rock overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. At the top, there are beautiful gardens that we toured. Next, we drove to Monaco and looked around Monte Carlo. Jon swam in the sea and I only put my feet in...the water was pretty frigid although it was a fairly hot day here. I was happy to sit on the beach and eat ice cream.

We realized we were only a few miles from Italy so we hopped in the car and drove across the border to a small town named Ventimiglia. We walked along the beach and got some gelato from an Italian man that we could not understand at all. After a bit, we drove back to the hotel and ate dinner here at the hotel. Tomorrow we get up very early to catch our train back to Paris...

Dad and I went and saw Gerti today. She let us pet her. Shadow & her are actually getting along ok.Becky's house is ready for Halloween. It is all lit up and 2 tents set up. I went back tonight to watch a movie and Gerti snuggled up on the couch between Beck & I. It is hard to believe you were in 3 countries today. I love all your pictures. Wish you a pleasant train ride tomorrow. love mom
